Lorraine M. Scharpenberg of St. Louis, Missouri entered eternal rest on Thursday, July 22, 2010 at Sunset Hills Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in St. Louis having reached the age of 78 years, 3 months and 6 days.

Born on April 16, 1932 in St. Louis, Missouri, she was the daughter of Alfred H. And Marie V. (McLear) Pepper. She married Kenneth Scharpenberg on January 28, 1961 in St. Louis and he survives.

Mrs. Scharpenberg was an LPN and served as the school nurse in the Mehlville School District for many years and member of the Missouri Nurses Association.

Preceding her in death were her parents and her brother, Richard Pepper.

Surviving her passing are her husband, Kenneth Scharpenberg of St. Louis, Missouri; her sons, David (Sandra) Scharpenberg of Arnold, Missouri and Brian (Ann) Scharpenberg of Belton, Missouri; four step-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, godchildren and many friends.

Friends may call on Friday, July 30, 2010 from 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at the Fey Funeral Home in Mehlville, Missouri. Memorials may be made to the family and will be received at the funeral home.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 31, 2010 at 10:00 A.M. at St. Agatha Catholic Church in St. Louis with Father Paul Rothschild officiating. Interment will follow in Our Redeemer Cemetery in St. Louis.
