Kenneth E. Thompson

Kenneth Edward Thompson, 60, of Valmeyer, Illinois passed away on Monday November 1, 2021 at Mercy Hospital South in St. Louis, Missouri. Kenny was born on December 7, 1960 in Union Mississippi to James and Mignon Thompson, nee Loveall and they precede him in death. Kenny was also preceded in death by his brother, John Thompson.

Kenny was a man of strong faith and an active member of Second Chance Ministries of Waterloo. He regularly taught bible study classes and loved to share the love of the Lord. He enjoyed bicycling in his spare time. Kenny was also an avid sports fan and loved watching college football and basketball games, always rooting for southern teams. Kenny will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Left to cherish his memory is fiancé of one year, Vickie Coffman, whom Kenny was to marry on December 18, 2021; his brothers, Jerry (Shirley) Sugg and James Ray Thompson and his sister, Linda Sue Thompson; his nieces, Cassandra Murphy and Sharon Walls, many other nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews and many beloved friends.

Memorial services will be held at Second Chance Ministries, 2736 IL-156, Waterloo, IL on Saturday November 13, 2021 at 3:00pm, doors will open at 2:00pm, with Reverend James Harget Sr. and Reverend James Harget, Jr. presiding. There will be a meal following the memorial service at the Waterloo VFW Hall, 406 Veterans Drive, Waterloo, IL, all are invited.
