Joan M. Pihaylic of Warren, Michigan passed away at her daughter's home on Monday, August 6, 2012 having reached the age of 52 years, 11 months and 9 days. Joan had four careers in her life. She was a secretary, a mother, a wife, and a homemaker. She did a great job at all four.

Born on August 27, 1959 in Roseville, Michigan, she was the daughter of Earl Jay and Rachel Edith Congdon, nee Putman. She was united in marriage to David Simmons and Bill Pilhaylic and they both preceded her in death.
Preceding her in death besides her husbands, David and Bill, were her father; her son, Mark E. Simmons, her sisters, Janet Adams and Irene Whittredge and her brother, David Congdon.

Surviving are her daughter, Dawn Simmons of Belleville, Illinois; her mother, Rachel Congdon nee Putman of Caro, Michigan; her sisters, Mary (Arnold) Presley of Speedwell, Virginia and Jackie (Rich) Dalmer of Saginaw, Michigan; her brothers, Terry Congdon of Warren, Michigan and Bob (Sharon) Congdon of Caro, Michigan; her grandchildren, Tyler Stern, Trinity Stern and Dakota Stern; her boyfriend, Raymond Delano of Warren, Michigan, nieces, nephews and many friends.

All services will be private. The Creason Funeral Home in Millstadt, Illinois is in charge of arrangements.
