James G. Strenge

James G. Strenge, 75, passed away peacefully at Memorial Hospital in Belleville, Illinois on December 24, 2018, following a brief illness.

Born in Chicago, Illinois on July 15, 1943, he was the son of George Strenge and Elsa Strenge, nee Reichart.

James was a veteran the United States Army and served his country from 1960-1963. James worked for many years as a mechanic before his retirement.

James is survived by his wife of 54 years, Jean (Doehler) Strenge of Belleville, Illinois. Daughters, Debra Strenge of Missouri and Jennifer Sarette of Belleville, Illinois. Sons, James Jr. (Sharon) Strenge of Rochelle, Illinois, Scott (fiancee Tracy) Strenge of Crestwood, Illinois; brothers Bob (Roseanne) Strenge of Arizona, Ken (Karen) Strenge of Alsip, Illinois, Ron (Joyce) Strenge of Frankfort, Illinois and his six grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to the Belleville Area Humane Society.
