Elmira Elizabeth Olson of Ellisville


Elmira Elizabeth Olson of Ellisville, Missouri, formerly of Texas, passed away on Saturday, July 21, 2012 at her home having reached the age of 88 years, 3 months and 1 day.
Born in Driftwood, Kentucky on April 20, 1924, she was the daughter of Crit and Bertha Marcum, nee Hall. She was sealed to August W. Olson in 1972 in San Antonio, Texas and he preceded her in death.

Mrs. Olson was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and the Writers Guild. She appeared on various television cooking shows, was a real estate developer and an animal lover.

Preceding her in death besides her husband, August Olson, were her parents; her son, Kyle Houstin Saunders; four brothers and one sister.

Surviving are her children, Maureen Saunders-Bullock of Ballwin, Missouri and Imojean (Howard) Simmons in Miramar Beach, Florida; one brother, 11 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and many friends.

All services will be private. Interment will be in Holy Cross Cemetery in St. Louis, Missouri.

The Creason Funeral Home in Millstadt, Illinois is in charge of arrangements.
