Donald Albert Walters



Donald Albert Walters of St. Louis passed away on Monday, December 29, 2008 at DePaul Hospital at the age of 75 years.

Born in Iowa on March 26, 1933 he was the son of the late Lester E. and Ida E. (Stevens) Walters.

Mr. Walters worked as a member of the ground crew for TWA Airlines and served with the United States Army. He was an avid Blues fan.

A special thank you from his family goes to St. Sophia and DePaul Hospital staffs for the excellent care that he received.

Surviving his passing are his sisters, Eugenia 'Jean' Krueger and Betty L. Walters; his nieces and nephews, Dorothy (Bill) Strurick, Tom Bugle, JoAnne (Bill) Moran, Jeffrey Krueger, James Krueger, Julie (Mark) Lance, Jay E. (Kristine) Krueger and Jon F. (Christine) Krueger; his cousins, Dorothy (Bill) Struherrick and Larry Antonvie; great-nieces and nephews, good neighbors and many friends.
Friends may call at Southern Funeral Home on Monday, January 5, 2009 from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. Memorials may be made to Backstoppers and will be received at the funeral home.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 5, 2009 at 1:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis, with full military honors.
