Aleta D. Morgan


Aleta D., nee Sarkesian, Morgan of Millstadt, Illinois entered eternal rest on Monday, February 4, 2013 at Memorial Convalescent Center in Belleville,Illinois having attained the age of 87 years, 3 months and 3 days.

Born in East St. Louis, Illinois on November 1, 1925, she was the daughter of Walter A. and Ruby Sarkesian, nee Irwin. She was united in marriage to James Morgan in Kentucky in 1962 and he preceded her in death in September, 1971.

Mrs. Morgan was an administrative assistant at Monsanto.

Preceding her in death besides her husband, James Morgan, were her parents, two brothers, Lawrence Orin Wilson and Walter Sarkesian, Jr.; two brothers-in-law, Ted Helmkamp and Jim Kane and a nephew, Tim Sarkesian.

Surviving are her sisters, Jane Kane of Millstadt, Illinois and Vernelia Helmkamp of Swansea, Illinois; her nieces and nephews, Deatra (Daryl) Harris of Bethalto, Illinois, Scott Sarkesian of St. Louis, Missouri, Lisa (Kevin) Bowman, Dana (Larry) Toenjes, both of Millstadt, Illinois and Michael (Stacie) Kane of Sunset Hills, Missouri; great-nieces and great-nephews, cousins and many friends.

All services will be private. The Creason Funeral Home in Millstadt, Illinois is in charge of arrangements.
