Bernice Virginia Vogel

Bernice Virginia Vogel, nee Schmidt, of Millstadt, Illinois, died on Thursday, May 18, 2017, at her home surrounded by her family. Bernice was born the daughter of Frank and Rita, nee Lueckemeyer, Schmidt, on December 8, 1932, in Belleville, Illinois. She attained the age of 84 years, five months, and ten days.
Bernice was a full time housewife and mother.
She was preceeded in death by her parents, the love of her life, Vernon Vogel, who died in June of 2000, and all of her brother and sisters, Howard, Frankie, Buddy, Irene, Rita, Ruth, Alvera, and Margaret.
Bernice is survived by her children, Donald (Beckie) Vogel, Millstadt, Illinois, Margaret "Margie" Mees, Belleville, Illinois, and Joanie (Rusty) Kidwell, Belleville, Illinois; 9 grandchildren, Jeremy (Kelsie) Newton, Steeleville, Illinois, Stephanie (Dave) Berry, Belleville, Illinois, Kimberly Vogel, Red Bud, Illinois, Amanda Shinn, Millstadt, Illinois, Tiffany (Mike) Reeser, Lebanon, Illinois, Sarah (Paul) Simonson, Belleville, Illinois, Jason (Karen) Boide, Belleville, Illinois, Angela ( Jennings) Carter, Greenville, Illinois, and Byron Boide, Belleville, Illinois, elevn great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and many friends.
Memorials may be given to the American Cancer Society and will be received at the funeral home.
Visitation will be from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Monday, May 22, 2017, at the Creason Funeral Home, Millstadt, Illinois.
Funeral Services will be at 1:00 PM, Tuesday, May 23, 2017, at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Mt Evergreen Cemetery, Millstadt, Illinois.
