Anna Johanna Auer

Anna Johanna Auer of St. Louis entered eternal rest on Thursday, September 17, 2009 at Mother of Good Counsel Home in St. Louis having attained the age of 93 years, 11 months and 10 days.
Born in St. Louis, Missouri on October 7, 1915, she was the daughter of Michael and Mary (Garger) Unger. She married Bernard Auer at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in St. Louis on September 5, 1936 and he preceded her in death.
Mrs. Auer was a member of St. Stephen Protomartyr Catholic Church in St. Louis and St. Stephens Over 50 Club.
Preceding her in death besides her parents and her husband, Bernard, were two children, Sister Patricia Auer FSGM and a daughter in infancy; three sisters and two brothers.

Left to mourn her passing are her children, Francis (Mary) Auer of St. Louis, Anna Marie Hayes of St. Louis, Michael (Sue) Auer of Fenton, Missouri, Theresa (Jerry) Cohen of Mascoutah, Illinois, Margaret (Ed) Hinrichs of St. Charles, Missouri and Sister M. Clara Auer of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; 15 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.

Friends may call on Sunday, September 20, 2009 from 3:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at Southern Funeral Home and on Monday, September 21, 2009 from 9:30 A.M. to 10:00 A.M. at St. Stephen Protomartyr Catholic Church.

Memorials may be made to Mother of Good Counsel Home and will be received at the funeral home.
A mass of Christian burial will be held on Monday, September 21, 2009 at 10:00 A.M. at St. Stephen Protomartyr Catholic Church with Father Ron Hopmeir officiating. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery.
